1920 Antonio Curatoli Violin
Amati Copy
Antonio Curatoli violins were made in Germany, even though they have an Italian-sounding name. “Antonio Curatoli” was the trade name used by the workshop for this model. They are solid, well-made violins, with a great reputation for producing a very nice tone. This one is an Amati copy, with a lovely golden brown varnish.
The condition is very good. There is a little rib distortion from an over tightened chinrest and two repaired short cracks under the chinrest.
Set up with D’Addario Zyex strings.
