We have had a couple violins by Fried. Aug. Glass (2), His relationship to Friedrich Glass (3) is not clear. Fried. Aug. Glass (3) violins have a darker varnish and “Glass” branded on the back.

The violin is in good playing condition. It has had a few repairs. The peg box has bushings, so smaller pegs could be used. There are two older repaired upper bout cracks, and one lower bout repaired crack under the chin rest.
Set up with D’Addario Helicore strings.
