The top has one short repaired wing crack and a lower bout repair near the edge on the treble side. The button on the back has been repaired and the rib on the lower bout bass side has a repair as well.
It is set up with D’Addario Zyex strings.
Note: This violins photos are from 2009, the tailpiece is now different. The owner now has several more violins and needs to thin out his collection.
This one was his first good violin -- he was still playing it regularly until now.
In 1898 W. Williams re-graduated this violin for optimum tone and put in a new bass bar. It has a very impressive dark tone!
