The condition is very good. There are two small repaired saddle cracks that cannot be seen. The cracks that show in the photos are fake antiquing.
Set up for fiddling with D’Addario Helicore strings.
This violin was made in the late 1800’s to look like it was already very old. It is heavily antiqued with fake cracks and a fake scroll graft. This fiddle has the ultimate dark tone combined with every other good playing trait.
