Delightful Early 1800’s French Violin Labeled Fent.
The violin is in very good playing condition. It has been repaired more than once in its long life. There are various repairs to the scroll, top and ribs. I do not think the back has had any repairs. No soundpost or bass bar crack repairs have been needed. It is well restored and ready for many more decades of enjoyment!
It is setup with D’Addario Zyex strings.
From the moment you lay eyes upon this violin, you know you are looking at something very special! The highly skilled luthier made this violin during the Baroque period, nearly 200 years ago. This instrument has charm and character that you will not see in a sterile workshop violin. At some point it was set up to the modern standard with a neck graft. This is the instrument for you, if you are looking for a great French violin from this wonderful time period of violin history!
