I found another wonderful violin from the M. Couturieux workshop. This violin is an excellent example of the fine string instruments that were made in Mirecourt in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. This violin has one also has a tone evaluation way beyond what one would expect for a violin in this price range. I would say this one is a little higher quality in construction, and also older than the one I listed last month.
This violin is in good condition. The back center seam was partially re-glued at sometime. Fantastic tone for the money!
The violin is setup with D’Addario Zyex strings.
