Excellent Fiddle! Focused Expressive Balanced Tone!
If you like to play fiddle music, here is an excellent-sounding violin for you. It is most likely from a German workshop from around the 1900’s. The label is not original to the violin. It was made with an outside mold as many workshop violins were at that time. Violins made with an outside mold do not need corner blocks. This one has two corner plates to give the impression of corner blocks. This is a good solid fiddle ready for immediate playing enjoyment!
It is in good playable condition. It has one repaired crack on the upper bout on the bass side as well as a little edge repair in the same area. The volute is grafted onto the peg box.
It is setup with D’Addario Helicore strings with a tailpiece with four built in fine tuners.
