c.1920 Joseph Guarneri Copy
Very nice Guarneri copy. Made in the early 1900’s at a German workshop. This would probably be one of the top models from the workshop, as seen by the very nicely carved scroll and ebony crown on the heal of the neck. The Guarneri models were also most workshops more expensive violins.
The condition is excellent. It has no repaired cracks. The fingerboard is new as the previous owner/s played this violin an incredible number of hours to wear out the old fingerboard totally. When I saw that I knew this was going to be a great sounding violin.
