This wonderful French violin has a smooth, bright, and rich, tone! This violin was most likely from the JTL workshop. Jerome Thibouville-Lamy (JTL) was born in 1833 and worked in Mirecourt and Paris. His workshop was the largest in France. This violin is delightful in every way! It has the very highest rated tone evaluation of any violin I have had.
The condition is excellent. The neck was re-set to get the proper angle for optimum tone.
