Warm toned 1901 Salvadore de Durro Violin!
This violin does have some repairs. The most obvious repair is the lower bout crack that goes down from the treble f-hole. There is also a repaired wing crack and another going up from the same f-hole. One small repaired edge crack is on the upper bout bass side.
The violin is ready for delightful service once more, with D’Addario Zyex strings.
This Salvadore de Durro has followed in the reputation of the last one I had. The tone is warm, focused, rich and smooth! It is a very responsive violin and decently balanced as well. This is a great sounding German workshop violin!
