Age has blessed this violin with a wonderful, sweet, resonant tone! 200 or so years of living is a good thing for a violin, as this instrument displays so well.
The condition is very good. It has had repairs that are done so well it is hard to tell what exactly was performed or why. There have been repairs to the back, ribs, and top, but all are in proper order. The scroll is grafted. Bushing have been done to fit smaller tuning pegs for easier tuning.
