Antonio Curatoli - Amati Copy.
Antonio Curatoli violins were made in Germany, even though they have an Italian-sounding name. “Antonio Curatoli” was the trade name used by the workshop for this model. They are solid, well-made violins, with a great reputation for producing a very nice tone. This one is an Amati copy, and I think it is the loveliest Curatoli I have come across.
The violin is in excellent condition. It has a typical repaired crack under the tailpiece. The pegbox has bushings so the pegs could be smaller for better tuning.
Set up with D’Addario Zyex strings.
