Rare 1896 Heinrich Th. Heberlein Jr.
This is a fine example of the work of Heinrich Th. Heberlein Jr. The quality of the craftsmanship is evident throughout. It is not easy to find a Heberlein violin from this time period. Most of the ones I have seen were made in Heinrich’s workshop after his death in 1910. His son continued to run the workshop in his father’s name into the 1920’s.
The violin is in good condition with only two repairs. One is a small repaired rib crack by the end pin, and the other is a longer repaired saddle crack on the treble side. The varnish was over cleaned at some point between the f-holes.
This is a rare opportunity to own a Heinrich Th. Heberlein Jr. violin from the late 1800’s.
Setup with D’Addario Zyex strings.
